The Cuban Research Institute (CRI) and The Latin American and Caribbean Center (LACC) at Florida International University are pleased to announce to announce the Díaz- Ayala Cuban and Latin American Popular Music Collection Grants. The Díaz- Ayala Grants provide graduate students and scholars the opportunity to visit the Díaz-Ayala Music Collection at the FIU Green Library, thereby enhancing its value as a national resource.
LACC, CRI and FIU Libraries are offering two research stipends of up to $1500 each to offset the costs of a minimum one-week stay to use the collection. The current funding cycle will cover graduate student research travel during the Spring and Summer of 2010. Completed applications are due in the CRI office (DM 363) no later than 5:00 pm, Monday, March 29, 2010. Incomplete or late applications will not be accepted.
