Cecilia Sánchez, Vice President of the Cuban-American Student Organization (CASO), has just been appointed as a representative at FIU's Division of Human Resources. In her new position, Cecilia acts as a primary point of contact for all Human Resources inquiries, assists new employees with onboarding and scheduling their benefits appointments in both face-to-face and phone interactions, and handles all incoming physical traffic to the Division of Human Resources. Cecilia reports: "I'm truly excited to be a part of this great university, moreover, to be a member of the HR team—they are a great group of people!"

Cecilia is currently finishing her B.A. in the Departments of English and Modern Languages at FIU. She has been instrumental in establishing CASO and in organizing and promoting public events related to Cuban and Cuban-American Studies.

At the Cuban Research Institute, we're very proud of Cecilia's accomplishments and we wish her the best in her new job!
