CRI Community Advisory Member Chosen as Hispanic Woman of Distinction

Mónica Rabassa, Vice President of Marketing, Corporate Communications and Public Affairs for Univisión Radio, has been named one of 12 Hispanic Women of Distinction in South Florida. Ms. Rabassa's responsibilities include overseeing corporate public affairs, marketing efforts, and talent relations for Univisión Radio's 70 radio stations across the U.S. She is also a member of the Community Advisory Board of the Cuban Research Institute at FIU.

The Hispanic Women of Distinction Charity luncheon will be held on August 15th at Signature Grand in Davie, Florida. The event will pay tribute to Latina professionals who are strengthening the social fabric of this country and making inroads in the leadership pipeline for a growingly diverse America. A special award, The Latina Pioneer for 2014, will also be given to Helen Aguirre Ferré, who hosts a daily political talk show with Univisión Radio and is a political analyst for Univisión Network, an English moderator for WPBPT2 public affairs, and Opinion Page Editor for Diario Las Américas.

Presented by Bank of America in partnership with Latina Style magazine, and cosponsored by Baptist Health South Florida, the event will feature Latin entertainment, a silent auction, and raffles, as well as a sponsor business exhibit presented by WFTL Radio 850 AM, which will air programming live from the venue and conduct interviews with guests all day.
