Followed by a panel discussion moderated by and with Uva de Aragón, Juan Antonio Blanco, Marifeli Pérez-Stable, Guillermo Grenier, Alina Mayo Azze, and Norberto Perdomo.

Documentary is in Spanish with English sub-titles; Plenary session in English.

This documentary, produced by Univisión 23, tells the story of the men and women who in search of freedom and opportunities started fleeing the Cuban Communist Regime half a century ago. Most came with very few material possessions, but with the will to succeed and remember the land of their birth. Univisión 23 honors the Cuban-American community with this film which focuses on its achievements through 50 years of tears, nostalgia, and the unrelenting dream of returning home.
