Dr. Jorge Duany, Director of the Cuban Research Institute at Florida International University, was invited to give a public lecture at the University of Bern in Switzerland on October 5, 2012. The title of his lecture, based on his most recent book, was "Blurred Borders: Transnational Migration between the Hispanic Caribbean and the United States." Dr. Duany's talk was part of a workshop on "People and Spaces on the Move," sponsored by the Pro Doc Program on "The Dynamics of Transcultural Management and Governance in Latin America" and funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation.
