The Center for Historical Research and the Seminar on Migration and Diaspora Studies of the College of the Humanities at the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras, sponsored the presentation of the journal Op. Cit., number 20, on "Diaspora, Migration, and Transnationalism." The event took place at the Sala Jorge Enjuto of the College of Humanities on Thursday, November 29, 2012, at 3:00 PM.
The guest editor for this issue was CRI Director, Dr. Jorge Duany. The presentation was in charge of Dr. Félix V. Matos, President of Hostos Community College of the City University of New York. As part of the event, a segment of the documentary Válvula de Escape (Escape Valve, by Producciones Zaranda, 2012) was shown.
