Dario Moreno, Ph.D., is associate professor in the Department of Politics & International Relations at Florida International University. Her is a former director of the Metropolitan Center at FIU.
Dario Moreno holds a Ph.D., M.A., and B.A. in political science from the School of International Relations of the University of Southern California. He conducts research on Miami politics, Florida politics, and Cuban American politics. He has published over twenty scholarly articles, book chapters, and two books. Dr. Moreno is a nationally recognized expert on Florida and Miami politics and is often quoted in both the national and local media. He is a contributing editor to the Harvard Journal of Hispanic Policy. He has been a Pew Scholar at the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, and a Fulbright scholar in Costa Rica. He teaches a variety of classes in the Department of Politics & International Relations at FIU, including Miami politics, Cuban politics, Florida politics, and a graduate seminar in urban politics.
