Katie L. Coldiron, M.A., M.S., is outreach program manager for the Digital Library of the Caribbean at Florida International University. She is also an affiliate of the Kimberly Green Latin American and Caribbean Center.
Ms. Coldiron previously served as digital archivist and manager for the Mellon-funded project "Community Data Curation: Preserving, Creating, and Narrating Everyday Stories" at the Wolfsonian Public Humanities Lab-FIU. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in history at Florida International University. She holds an M.A. in Latin American studies from the University of Florida and an M.S. in information studies from the University of Texas at Austin. She earned her B.A. in Anthropology/Sociology at Centre College of Kentucky.
Her professional interests include postcustodial digitization projects, community collaborations, digital humanities, and supporting research related to Latin America, the Caribbean, and South Florida. Her research interests include Cuban studies, area studies (particularly Latin America) in U.S. universities, intellectual history, Colombia, and the Cold War in Latin America.
