New CRI Associate Director

Sebastián A. Arcos has been named Associate Director of the Cuban Research Institute, effective May 13, 2013. Arcos holds a Bachelor's degree in International Relations and a Master's degree in Public Administration, both from Florida International University. Before joining CRI, Arcos was Associate Director of Development at the School of International and Public Affairs and Assistant to the President of FIU. Arcos has been active in various human rights organizations in Cuba and abroad. At CRI, Arcos will oversee fundraising efforts, serve as liaison with the Community Advisory Board, prepare and administer the budget, support public programming, and help with the daily management of the institute.
